Kevin Weaver studied history at Slippery Rock University where he received his degree in History. After graduation he worked with troubled youth before going to Indiana University to get his degree in education. He settled in Virginia and taught at school at the secondary level and was involved in coaching youth soccer, basketball, as well as Policy Debate. Mr. Weaver also gained some experience in corrections for a number of years  before returning to teaching at the Perseus House CLC and moving over to the Discovery Center.
