A Message from Mr. Hanas, Principal at the Leadership Center

Hello and welcome to the Charter School of Excellence Leadership Center.  As a school leader who has been fortunate enough to work at CSE for the past 15+ years, I can confidently say that this organization puts its students' education and safety at the forefront of its priorities.  The Leadership Center is a high school site educating students in grades 9-12.  Our main goal is to provide quality learning experiences that meet the needs of all students.  We also focus on college and career readiness as every student must have a solid plan in place when they leave our doors as graduates.  Whether our students attend post-secondary school, the military, or join the workforce, they have explored their interests and narrowed down a career field that can put them on a pathway for success as an adult in the community. 

The Leadership Center is not your traditional school setting.  While we are a brick-and-mortar school building, we offer an online curriculum that is blended with small group direct instruction.  Students can work at their own pace and be supported by highly qualified teachers who will further enhance student understanding of academic topics covered by the online activities. Our well-trained staff understands that we serve a diverse population of students who are at varying entry points of understanding.  Our blended model allows us to deliver quality instruction at each student's level of functioning to ensure all students can grow as learners.

A strength of the program at the Leadership Center is the bond that is made between the teachers and their students. Being a small school that focuses on positive relationships allows for all individuals to connect with one another and promote respect for all in the building.  We work with families and the community to ensure all who enter our building understand what we value and where our priorities continue to be.
