A Message from MR. BEER, Principal at the Skills Center

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!  I hope everyone enjoyed their summer break.  My name is Mr. Beer and I have the honor of being your building principal for the 2025-2026 school year.  I am excited to make the move from the Leadership Center to the Skills Center.  Before my role as assistant principal, I was a teacher for the past nineteen years.  On behalf of myself, Mr. Williamson and the Skills Center Staff we would like to welcome you back.  The summer workforce staff has done a tremendous job preparing the school for the upcoming school year.  The school counseling department has worked very hard preparing class schedules. We are excited to welcome AVI as our new vendor for school meals while CSE will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students.  We are also excited to announce that prom will have a new venue this year as we are moving to the Masonic Temple for May of 2026.

The biggest change coming to CSE is the new comprehensive personal device policy.  Students will be assigned new cell phone lockers which will be used at the beginning of each school day.  We recognize that this will be big adjustment as we start the school year.  However, overwhelming research has shown the detrimental effects of social media on the educational process and student achievement.  Here at CSE we are committed to enhancing and growing the quality of education while reducing barriers that would interfere with this process.  A copy of the updated policy and the FAQ document can be found at:

As we approach the start of school, please don't hesitate to reach out to the front desk at 814-651-9089, myself at jbeer@phcse.org or Mr. Williamson at mwilliamson@phcse.org if you have any questions regarding the start of the school.  We can't wait to see you!!
