During a visit to the Skills Center in the fall of 2025, Chef Robert Irvine pointed out that the Culinary students at CSE could use sharper knives. He explained to students how a dull knife is one of the most dangerous things to have in a kitchen - they lead to many more injuries than extremely sharp knives. He promised to gift CSE a new set of knives for Culinary students to train on.

In October of 2026, these knives had arrived and were presented to students at the Skills Center. While Robert Irvine was not available for the presentation, his represntatives were on hand to celebrate the occassion.
