School Counseling Department

Welcome to our School Counseling Department! The CSE School Counselors and their teams provide each student with the tools and resources they need to be successful in their high school career and the pursuit of their post-secondary goals. We want nothing more than for you to be successful both in our school and beyond.

Student Assistance

In addition to the student resources and testing dates it provides in one convenient location, the School Counseling Department is available to help you reach your goals in countless other ways.

Student Events

We host many events, for all students, introducing them to a variety of potential career options. These events include, but are not limited to:

  • College and career fairs
  • College and career guest speakers
  • College and technical school admissions presentations
  • Financial aid workshops and advising
  • Tours of local colleges and technical schools
  • Community service opportunities

Working with students' families and the community is an integral part of CSE's efforts in supporting our students.

Attention 2026 Graduates

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is expected to open up in October of 2025. Counselors will be meeting with seniors beginning in October to discuss the completion of their FAFSA if they plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution in the 2026-2027 school year. The FAFSA is the single most important application in determining a student's eligibility for federal student financial aid that includes scholarships, grants, and federal student loans. Students in Pennsylvania should submit their FAFSA and their PA State Grant application by May 1, 2026, in order to be considered for both federal and state aid. The sooner students submit their applications, the greater likelihood they will receive optimal financial aid opportunities.

College and career fairs

This year, CSE will be hosting our college and career fairs in October and March.  These events will be held at the Skills Center in a morning session, followed by an afternoon session at the Leadership Center.
