Mrs. Gretchen Fortin RN, BSN serves as the Lead School Nurse for Charter School of Excellence where she leads a number of health professionals.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing  from Gannon University and is dedicated to create a safe, healthy environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.  She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years , 10 of which have been in the school environment. She recently worked at a local AHN pediatric office and is knowledgeable on prevention and chronic disease and immunizations. She believes that school nursing is much more than treating illness. It is about building relationships , educating students about their health , advocating for their well being and helping children feel safe and cared for in school. She enjoys children having 4 of her own. She also enjoys spending time in the garden and swimming laps in the pool.
